Shrinky Dink shrink plastic

With this A4 shrink plastic, you can transform the coolest designs into a hard plastic figure. You can make the most fun things with it, such as jewelry, pins, and keychains.

You can print on these sheets with an inkjet printer (not laser, as it can melt the plastic), see further explanation below. You can also use markers and colored pencils. After you finished your design, you can cut it out or use a cutting plotter. Then you put the designs in the oven or use a heat gun to shrink the plastic.

For a nice finish, you can use epoxy, also known as “UV resin”. This layer can dry under a UV lamp, but also outside in sunlight or even without sunlight.

The image shrinks about 60% and becomes at least 9 times thicker.

The Shrinky Dink sheets are available in white and transparent. With white, the back is also white, and you can’t see through it. With transparent, you can see the design on both sides.

For every 10 sheets, you get an eleventh one for free.

Printing on shrink plastic:

First of all, you must be sure that it’s an inkjet printer. Otherwise, the plastic can melt. Also, it’s not a given that your printer recognizes the shrink plastic as paper. Sometimes it can help to stick a white A4 sheet to the back of the transparent shrink plastic with tape. You also need to find out which paper setting recognizes the plastic and gives the best result.
